A simple lightweight solo tent for all seasons. The Quartz 1 comes with Kelty's patented FlyBoy anchoring system, which consists of a patch permanently affixed to the fly and a plastic clip that clamps the body, poles, and fly together into a single, unitized self-reinforcing structure (no more reaching up under the fly to attach velcro straps). Flyboy also accepts guylines to create a stronger and more stable structure. Also features Kelty Webforceâ¢. The trusses at each pole sleeve intersection guide the slightly pre-bent DAC Pressfit aluminum poles through the intersection, eliminating any independent movement of the poles, strengthening the structure. The tendons on the fly, which lock stakeout points to FlyBoys, prevent any stretch or movement under even the heaviest winds. The strong, long-lasting DAC poles have very tight tolerances that avoid gluing or crimping, both of which can result in failure or corrosion over time. NOTE: To ensure stability and 4-season performance, the Quartz is designed to have a more taut pitch than standard 3-season tents.
